The U.S. continues to lead the world in wine consumption, though volumes dropped by nearly 6% compared to the previous year. France and Italy follow, though both have also seen declines. China’s consumption fell sharply—down 19%—likely due to economic challenges and changing habits.

Portugal is clearly at the top when it comes to wine consumption per person—more than 61 litres a year on average. Italy and France remain in the top three, but their numbers have declined over the years.
